Final Project

Concept behind the project...

For my final project I would like to produce photographs of the animal scenes at the Museum of Natural History. I want show them through different perspectives, and bring the images to life as much as possible. In order to do this I would incorporate multiple images of the same scene, but with different perspectives. In order to produce a final image I will create a grid or a collage. In addition to this I want to include some blurred images in order to create the sense the animals are moving and add a new dynamic to the pieces. David Hockney is a key inspiration to this project.

Define the color red…

The hue of the long-wave end of the visible spectrum, seen by humans when energy reaches wavelengths of approximately 630 to 750 nm; any of a group of colors that may vary in lightness and saturation and whose hue resembles that of blood; one of the additive or light primaries; one of the psychological primary hues.

Define in own words what the color “red” means to you…

Red is a primary color. It is quite a contradictory color as it has connotations of passion, but also of violence. For me, red is a very in-your-face color. It is overwhelming. Red is eye-catching and beautiful. I wanted to explore the aggressive side of red. Red is seen as power, it is very assertive.
